The Sword and Shield Today's Christian Crusader
The Christian Crusades of the 11th - 15th centuries were religious sanctioned military campaigns that were labeled "Christian" but if you were among the residents of those times under the boot of these crusaders...it was far from Christ like behavior.
Fast forward to today....not must has changed. How many wars, battles, conflicts and riots have destroyed, burned and murdered villages across the globe these days all in the name of religion? TOO MANY! Jesus warned His people about these times in Matthew 24 and judgment is coming for these who involve themselves in these unrighteous events.
What should Today's Christian Crusader look like, act like, speak like and live like? Genuine Christian Discipleship! Today speaks of these times in these days. Christians speaks specifically to those who have died to sin and been born again in Christ Jesus. and Discipleship includes Christ' disciples living in biblical studies, biblical life practices and biblical testimonials about Christ.
The Sword and Shield speaks through Ephesians 6 and into Colossians 1:28-29 of what the disciple needs today in instruction, equipping, and living in a faithful walk in Christ. The Sword is God's Word, not ours. The Shield is faith in the Lord, not the world.
